USE:
Filters clean waste air in quantities from 500 to 10000 m3/h. For use in:
- waste water treatment plants (municipal and industrial)
- systems for storage of waste water (storage tanks for sludge, primary settlers, pumping stations, etc)
- the food and additives processing industry (fish, flour, coffee, cocoa, oil, sugar, tobacco processing, livestock plants, slaughterhouses, for example)
- the chemical industry
- the waste and remains rendering industry (for example, drying of brewery waste, grease rendering, bone rendering, drying of manure, landfills)
OPERATION: Waste air is blown into the biological filter by means of a blower, first into an air moistening chamber into which water from two sources (water from fresh water supply and return water from moistening chamber) is routed, with the help of a dry-mounted recirculation pump. The system for air moistening provides optimum air moisture which is needed for trouble-free operation of the biofilter.
Moistened air then enters a pressure chamber, where air is evenly distributed and enters into a filter media through a GRP grate. Filter media microorganism cultures develop, with which the waste air is cleaned and it is then discharged into the environment. From the pressure chamber, there is outflow of leachate water.
*Optional: Electrical heater with thermostat for protection against water freezing so that trouble-free operation of biological filter is assured even in extremely low temperatures.
